Elmbridge foodbank statistics for 2019

In 2019, Elmbridge Foodbanks provided 2,960 food parcels to those in crisis. This is an additional 478 compared to 2018, an increase of 19.3% year on year. The equivalent increase for 2018 vs 2017 was 46.8%.
The food parcels provided in 2019 fed a total of 7,443 people, which is an increase of 1,090 compared with 2018. The number of people receiving food parcels in 2018 was already 1,617 higher than 2017.
In 2019 Cobham provided:
988 food parcels,
which fed 2,885 people,
of whom 1,813 were adults and
1,072 children.
The main causes of crisis in the area were low income and sickness.
In 2019 East Elmbridge provided:
723 food parcels,
which fed 1,554 people,
of whom 1,052 were adults and
502 children.
The main causes of crisis in the area were low income and benefit changes.
In 2019 Walton and Hersham provided:
1,249 food parcels,
which fed 3,004 people,
of whom 1,903 were adults and
1,101 children.
The main causes of crisis in the area were low income and benefit delays.
