Cobham Area Foodbank would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our recent collection drive at Waitrose Cobham on Wednesday 25th March.
Thanks to the kindness and generosity of the local community, we collected an amazing 692kg of essential items – that’s 89 crates of food and supplies. This will help us support local families in crisis over the next two to three weeks, providing vital practical help when it’s needed most.

A fantastic community effort
We’re so grateful to everyone who made this possible … our wonderful volunteers who gave up their time for every step of the process, the many shoppers who donated and the fantastic Waitrose team who supported us throughout the day including with hot drinks! It really was a brilliant community effort and a reminder of how much people care.
Supporting local families in crisis
Every item donated will go directly to people in our local area who are facing difficult circumstances. For many families, this support provides reassurance and stability at a time when it’s needed most.
Why continued support is still needed
While this collection will make a real difference, the need for support doesn’t stop here. Our warehouse stock remains low and we still rely on regular donations to ensure we can continue to support families over the coming weeks.
If you are able to donate, every item (big or small) helps us to keep our shelves stocked and our support ongoing.
Stay connected and help us spread the word
